Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, CCMHC
My name is Jennifer Jackson and I am a therapist in private practice located in Pennsylvania and licensed to treat clients residing in Pennsylvania, Delaware and California.
All services are provided conveniently through a secure online portal, allowing clients to meet with me from the comfort of their homes.
I am in private practice for years following outpatient clinical practice in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. I began my career in Los Angeles where I first worked as a Purchasing Director for a Los Angeles based cosmetic company — this providing me with insight in helping people with workplace interpersonal challenges.
My career in clinical psychology has evolved over time. I have had opportunity to work with two very experienced and kind mentors, this work deepening my expertise and appreciation for grief/loss treatment and psychodynamic theory and attachment relationships including those that are estranged and/or influenced by narcissistic abuse. I am passionate about understanding and solving the life problems of the individual adult (18 and up) which may fuel anxiety and depression. I think in terms of family systems and find that when I work with an individual, I am also working indirectly with their family members and their significant others. I find it most gratifying as I focus today on helping people “move toward” rather than avoid personal obstacles that can sometimes stop them from realizing their best and more effective selves. I very much enjoy the therapeutic relationships that are the foundation of my work with people as I join them in their challenges and celebrate their successes. I am forever grateful for the privilege my clients offer me when they invite me to travel with them on their journeys.
I am dedicated to seeking new knowledge, skill and mastery throughout my career and life. A goal is to understand the possibilities of the present moment while focusing also on the personal creation of the future.
On a personal note, I am married with two adult children and enjoy learning, family time, music, making art, cycling and snuggling with my little Cavapoo Therapy Doggie, Xander.
